Strategic Goals
Guide Movin’ Out

Movin’ Out board of directors and staff met recently to target five strategic goals. First, Movin’ Out will assist its customers to succeed as neighbors and citizens. Second, we will continue to build new, inclusive housing. Third, we will sustain our focus on home ownership for people with disabilities. Fourth, we will maintain our portfolio of rental housing and market vacancies to people who rely on supportive services, as well as help tenants achieve success as tenants and neighbors. Fifth, we will select a new executive director who will continue our mission, as well as fill other future vacancies with talented people who share our vision. See the complete mission statement...

Kathryne Auerback: Movin’ Out’s New Leader

“On behalf of Movin’ Out board of directors and staff, I am happy to announce that Kathryne Auerback will be our new executive director,” beamed Movin’ Out board president, Jean MacCubbin. “We are so happy to have found a candidate who connects so well with Movin’ Out’s mission, its constituency of people with disabilities, and our culture of accomplishment and creativity.”

Auerback’s talents as a values-based strategic leader were crafted in managing green building and other environmental and health-related businesses, most recently, as the marketing director of a health technology company that helps empower patients to be active partners in their care, as well as in both her academic and administrative roles with the Sustainability Leadership Program and the School of Business at Edgewood College.

“All of us at Movin’ Out also want to express our gratitude to Amy Wedekind Kallas for stepping up to serve as interim executive director,” MacCubbin said, “she led the organization through this transition with poise and wisdom.”
